Mountain biking holidays in North Wales

Wales is home to a wide range of World class mountain bike centres. From Gwydr Forest, Coed Y Brenin and Machynlleth in the north towards Nant-yr-Arian, Afan Forest and Cwm Carn in the south, each all weather single-track has much to offer for a perfect mountain biking break.

As a mountain biker Wales offers thousands of miles of superb riding. Whether you are looking for relaxing forest or valley trails, to get you away from it all or the adrenalin rush of ultra technical mountain descents and tortuous hand carved singletrack; it's here. Epic mountain day rides with only a few buzzards and maybe a red kite for company, or going shoulder to shoulder with your maddest mates on a full pro level dual slalom course; we've got that too.

The Forest Enterprise centres at Coed-y-Brenin, Afan forest park, Gwydyr Forest and Cwm Carn are home to fantastic purpose built, all weather singletrack. These inspired technical trails are the result of years of work from the experienced and dedicated mountain bikers of the trail building crews and volunteer groups; mapping and clearing routes, digging foundations, pitching stone and barrowing thousands of tons of material. Carefully developed building techniques refined for each forest ensure that not only will the trail be the ride of a lifetime for true singletrack addicts, but it'll last a lifetime too.

	MACHYNLLETH WEEKEND MOUNTAIN BIKING HOLIDAY Once the capital of Wales, Machynlleth is now the British capital of alternative technology with a thriving Bohemian community.
